Can you do this cake? How much lead time do you need? Do I need to pay in advance? All questions that I answer all time, so why not put all the answers in on place?
Can you make this cake?
I try to find the balance of what looks like a fun challenge and what I know is beyond my abilities to do well. If you send me an idea or inspiration picture, I am happy to work with you on what your best options will be, make suggestions for improving the design, etc. Please be aware that intricate or extravagant designs can take many hours to complete, and the quote will reflect the required time commitment.
Pricing
Each cake is quoted on a custom basis. In an effort to best serve my customers while also valuing my time, requested cakes with 20 servings or less will be quoted a total of estimated labor + cost of supplies, starting at a base price of $100.
For all cakes over 20 servings, pricing will start at $4.50/serving or $100 base, and increase accordingly depending on the design.
Cupcakes start at $27/dozen for basic frosting in 1-2 colors. All orders are subject to a minimum dollar amount.
Lead time and Deposits
Weddings or events with 100 or more servings can be booked as soon as you know your date, and require a non-refundable 50% deposit. All other orders (anything less than 100 servings) will not be booked more than 6 months in advance and require a non-refundable deposit of $25. A lead time of 6-8 weeks is strongly recommended, with a minimum of 2 weeks notice for any order. All other dates that become available will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
Tastings
I am happy to provide cake tastings for any event requiring 100 or more servings. Tastings are $25 for 3 flavors of cake (vanilla, chocolate, and one other), and a 45 minute in-person consultation. If you decide to book your event with Ashley's Purple Apron, the tasting fee will be applied to your total amount due.
Payment
All orders require a non-refundable deposit to hold the date. Full payment is required 2 weeks prior to any event, this applies to all orders. Payments are non-refundable once completed. Once the details of your order are agreed upon, an invoice will be emailed to you. Payment can be made online through the invoice.
Minimum Orders
All orders are subject to a $100 minimum charge.
